Admission Reservation Policy

At Government Polytechnic Kaimganj, Farrukhabad, admissions are conducted as per the guidelines set forth by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The reservation policy ensures equal opportunities for candidates from various categories and is applied during the admission process. The reservation of seats is as follows:
  • Scheduled Castes (SC) : 21% of the total seats
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 2% of the total seats
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) : 27% of the total seats
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) : 10% of the total seats (as per government norms)
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) : 5% of the total seats (across all categories)
  • Women Candidates : Special provisions and support programs to encourage female participation in technical education
  • Freedom Fighters’ Dependents, Defense Personnel’s Dependents, and others: As per government norms Seats are allocated based on merit, reservation category, and the availability of seats within the respective categories. Candidates are required to provide valid certificates to claim reservation benefits. This policy is designed to promote inclusivity and ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to quality technical education.

Documents Required for Reservation Policy

To avail the benefits of the Admission Reservation Policy at Government Polytechnic Kaimganj, Farrukhabad, candidates must submit valid and certified documents. These documents are necessary to verify eligibility under the reserved categories. Below is the list of required documents:
  • Caste certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • Proof of residence.

For Other Backward Classes (OBC):

  • OBC certificate (non-creamy layer) issued by a competent authority.
  • Income certificate (to prove non-creamy layer status).
  • Proof of residence.

For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS):

  • EWS certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • Income certificate.
  • Proof of residence.

For Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates:

  • Disability certificate issued by a recognized medical board.
  • Proof of residence.

For Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Defense Personnel:

  • Certificate proving dependency on a Freedom Fighter/Defense Personnel issued by a competent authority.
  • Proof of residence.

For Women Candidates (if applicable):

  • Domicile certificate (if claiming any specific state-based benefits).
  • Any other document as required by government policies.

For General Category Candidates:

  • Domicile certificate.
  • Any other document specified in the admission guidelines.

Note:

  • All documents must be submitted in original along with self-attested copies.
  • The validity of the certificates should comply with the latest government rules and regulations.
  • Candidates claiming reservation must ensure that the certificates are up to date and issued by authorized officers. Failure to provide valid documents may result in disqualification from availing reservation benefits during the admission process.

Student Support/Facilities

  • Library: The College has a Centralized library with a dedicated supporting staff. The library is open for the use of students on all working days.
  • Classroom: All classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated and adequate seating capacity.
  • Internet Facility: There is a provision of WIFI with 100 MBPS speed in the premises.

Safety for students

  • Anti Ragging Cell: Ragging is a punishable offence and strictly prohibited in the college. There is a anti ragging cell who monitors, there is no ragging should be there in college premises.
  • Grievance Redressal Committee: To accept written grievances from students and staff related to the system.

    1.Anti-Ragging Committee

    • Ensures a ragging-free campus and promotes a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students.
    • Functions in accordance with the guidelines of the AICTE and government regulations.
    • Students can report any incidents of ragging to the committee for immediate action.

    3. Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) – Sexual Harassment Prevention

    • Operates under the norms of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.

    4. SC/ST Cell

    • Works towards resolving issues in a timely and transparent manner.

    • Ensures proper implementation of reservation policies for SC/ST students.

    5. OBC and Minority Cell

    6. Placement & Career Guidance Cell

    • Provides career counselling and job placement support for students.

    7.Disciplinary Committee

    • Ensures discipline and adherence to the code of conduct within the campus
    • Takes action in cases of misconduct, indiscipline, or violations of institutional policies.

    8. Library Committee

    • Responsible for the smooth functioning and development of the library.
    • Ensures that students have access to the latest academic resources, including books, journals, and digital content.

    9.Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)
